Early Life
- Hitler was never a poplar person, and never really did well in school.
- Adolf hated his father strongly, but was very close with his mother.
- When he was only sixteen he dropped out of school when he was sixteen to pursue his dreams of becoming am artist.
- His father died in 1903, when Hitler was only thirteen, and his mother died in 1908, when he was only eighteen.
- After he was rejected by the Academy of Fine Arts two times, he moved into a homeless shelter and a few years later he applied to serve in the German Army.
World War I & Rise of the Nazis
- He failed two physicals before he passed one and joined the German military.
- He was awarded for his bravery twice receiving: Iron Cross (highest award for bravery) and Black Wound Badge
- In 1918, while he was recovering from a gas attack which caused him to go temporarily blind, he was enraged when he found out that Germany surrendered
- Hitler was thrown in jail for about year, after trying to overthrow Bavarian government in Munich.
- While in jail he wrote parts of his book called Mein Kampf.
- He became dictator eventually and declared the Nazi Party the only legal political party in Germany.
World War II & Holocaust
- On September 1,1939, Germany invaded Poland which started World War II.
- By 1940, Hitler occupied Austria, Poland, Scandinavia, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands and Belgium.
- He removed the Jews from Germany and put them in Concentration Camps where he killed them.
- He killed more then six million Jews in Europe.
- He married Eva Braun on August 29, 1945.
- On August 30, 1945 he and his wife committed suicide and there bodies were burned, a few days after World War II ended.
